Role Overview
The SEO specialist is a client-facing role, focussed on delivering best-in-class digital marketing projects across organic search. The SEO specialist works within an integrated digital team across a range of clients from varying industries, managing delivery of organic strategy across the portfolio.
A typical day will see you implementing SEO projects for clients, advising on best practice and methodology, attending client reviews and meetings as well as training and providing analysis of results. You will be expected to take responsibility for the organic projects that you are working on, working with your manager on how you plan, set up and execute SEO for client websites.
You’ll be working in a small dynamic team, and establish yourself as the trusted SEO specialist in the agency and with clients. This role reports to the SEO Manager.
Core Responsibilities
- SEO Project Execution: Deliver the execution of SEO projects agency-wide, ensuring delivery to the high standards set by our team. Key deliverables including content briefing, monthly reports and health checks, and supporting SEO Manager with heavy technical deliverables for clients.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data across Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to formulate strategy, identifying new SEO opportunities and driving efficiencies.
- Client Meetings: Attend regular client WIP meetings to report back on SEO work and develop a trusted working relationship with clients.
- SEO Strategisation & Recommendations: Develop and deliver comprehensive page-level and site-wide SEO recommendations to enhance website performance, improve search engine rankings, and achieve client goals. Ability to identify and implement 'silver bullet' strategies that can significantly impact client website performance.
- Monthly Reporting: Provide comprehensive, articulated, and insightful monthly reporting illustrating key SEO insights and positive client growth opportunities.
- Best Practices: Keep up to date with SEO best practices, strategies, and techniques.
- Platform Setup: Ensure all supporting platforms are set up correctly according to ADMATIC best practices (SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager), including implementation, QA, and troubleshooting.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including clients and SEO platform partners.
- SEO Innovation: Identify and innovate SEO technology and techniques, keeping up to date on the latest developments in the market.
- Hybrid Role: 20% of time allocated to learning and supporting paid team to implement paid search campaigns where required.

The ideal candidate’s experience
- Experience: 1-2 years' hands-on experience in an SEO role, ideally with SEO specialist experience. Agency experience is a bonus.
- Analytical Skills: High attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Able to uncover key SEO based issues analysing data across multiple data sets and tools (GSC, GA4, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge and experience across SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Screaming Frog. Familiarity with Google Tag Manager is a plus. Understanding of international SEO and local SEO best practices is a plus. Proficiency in technical SEO auditing, including identifying and resolving issues related to HREFLANG tags, canonical tags, robots.txt, site speed, site structure, and more.
- Content Gap and Competitor Analysis: Expertise in identifying content gaps and conducting competitor analysis to develop strategies that improve organic search performance and provide actionable insights for content creation.
- Keyword Research and Mapping: Strong in keyword research and mapping to identify target keywords, optimise content, and support the development of SEO strategies that drive organic traffic and align with client objectives.
- Project Management: Good organisational and project management skills. The ideal candidate is very organised, often using a project management tool and personal calendar to plan work out effectively and ensure completion within a timely manner (aligning with SLAs) at a high level (SEO Manager will be there to support you).
- Team Player: A team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to collaborate across the entire agency. This role will evolve into ongoing collaboration with specialists across other service lines (paid) to formulate strategic insights and recommendations. Team player is essential!
- Client Management: Excellent presentation and client management skills. Illustrates confidence when interacting with clients, and able to articulate (visually and verbally) key takeaways for clients.
- Communication: Strong communication skills are essential. Professional and proactive communication (email, video chat, phone chat, etc) with clients and internal staff members is essential.
- Efficiency: Ability to efficiently manage tasks and time, leveraging tools such as GPT-4 to enhance productivity and streamline SEO deliverables (SEO manager will be there to support you).

- SEO Training and Development: You will have access to extensive hands on training and development opportunities to advance your SEO skills and career. SEO Manager will act as a mentor, teaching you the ins and outs of local SEO, international SEO, eCommerce SEO, technical SEO auditing, website migrations, and more!
- Holistic Understanding: Develop an understanding of how SEO complements Paid Search and Programmatic Advertising, given our wider agency's specialisation in these areas.
- Paid Media Integration: 20% of this role will involve supporting the paid media team, including training on how to run paid search and social campaigns.. This provides you with the opportunity to learn and have a holistic view of your accounts.
