About the job
Matrix Education's Marketing team is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist with a focus on SEO to join us at our Sydney CBD head office.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will use your experience and expertise in digital marketing to drive online traffic, increase engagement, and optimise Matrix's marketing campaigns to meet our organisational goals, while also contributing to social, email marketing, and PPC efforts.

The role reports to the Marketing Manager and works closely with a skilled team of digital marketers, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate across different areas.

What you'll do...

- Work with the greater Marketing Team to plan, develop and implement digital marketing strategies across multiple channels.
- Plan, execute, and optimise paid advertising campaigns to maximise ROI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and sales, to deliver high quality designs and content and ensure cohesive brand messaging.
- Execute effective SEO strategies to improve website visibility and organic search rankings.
- Perform ongoing keyword research, competitor analysis, and site audits to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-optimised blog posts, landing pages, and other marketing materials.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes.
- Monitor website performance using SEO tools (Google Analytics, Moz, SEMrush) and implement optimisation strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Use ChatGPT for automated report summaries, insights generation and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you'll need...

- 3+ years of commercial digital marketing experience.
- Demonstrated success in marketing and implementing content marketing strategies.
- Exceptional copywriting and written communication skills, with experience in using AI tools (like ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency.
- Detail-orientated and strives for a high degree of precision.
- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz), and social media platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Effective organisational skill and process driven.
- Bachelor qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media or Journalism or related studies.

Nice to have...

- Experience in the education sector, particularly in the tutoring industry.
- Start-up experience with a versatile range of skills.
- Experience with A/B testing for emails and landing pages.
- Familiarity with marketing CRM’s (Salesforce, HubSpot, Mailchimp etc) and PPC tools (GoogleAds).
- Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certifications.
