SEO Manager - Hospitality and Travel Industries
We're seeking an experienced and strategic SEO Manager to join our digital marketing agency, specialising in the hospitality and travel sectors. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative thinking, and strong leadership skills to drive our clients' SEO initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies for hospitality and travel clients
- Lead and mentor one direct report, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement
- Conduct in-depth SEO audits and competitor analysis for hotels, resorts, and travel destinations
- Create data-driven content calendars and oversee content creation processes
- Manage client relationships and lead work-in-progress (WIP) meetings
- Analyse SEO performance data and prepare insightful reports for clients
- Collaborate with PR and communications teams to maximise SEO opportunities
- Stay updated on the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes in the travel industry
- Work closely with other client services teams (project management, performance marketing) to ensure alignment with client goals & effective delivery of world class campaigns and projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a focus on the hospitality or travel industry.
- Proven track record of improving search rankings and organic traffic for - travel-related websites
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SEO tools (SEMRush, BrightLocal, WhiteSpark)
- Experience with local SEO strategies and citation building for hotels and resorts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT for SEO applications in travel content creation
- Experience in financial services or fintech preferred but not essential
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Knowledge of technical SEO, including site architecture and schema markup for hospitality websites
- Understanding of paid search and social media marketing in the travel sector
